can anyone help me i keep getting code 24 up i have changed the vehicle speed sensor 4 times reset the ecu by dissconnecting the battery and yet a few miles up the road the light comes back on and its the same code yet again this is really doin my head in now does anyone have any ideas? thanks in advance for any help Reply Like Sort by Oldest first

Step 1. Disconnect the car battery for an hour in an attempt to reset all of the ECN codes stored. Step 2. Reconnnect battery and check that all codes have gone. Step 3. Start car and get fault to duplicate. Step 4. Not on these Gaz, the ECU stores the codes in the eeprom, which is actually written in binary. When you erase codes on these you are actually writing any 1's in the code to all zero's. The light might go off because the ECU is being forced to reload its data but the DTC will stay in the eeprom.
