tazzman600. There is a problem with the sync 2 that ford are aware of but can't seem to fix. This was told to MD by an independent family owned ford dealer I bought my focus from. I've had problems with the sync 1 and was told about sync 2. Some seem to think the problem is cured but as of this Friday gone it hasn't. This works for Jag radios up to roughly end 2005 : Enter any code 3 times so that the display shows "PLEASE WAIT". Simultaneously press ">>" "PTY" "A.MEM" should only take 2 or 3 seconds and the radio turns on. Worked on mine (end 2005) MAY work on Ford radios as they probably used the same innards. Share. The radio intermittently switched off briefly a few times over the period of a week and then has stopped working all together. I've checked the fuse under the glovebox and that is OK. TIP #1. On your phone, turn Bluetooth Off, then On. Find your phone's Bluetooth menu > tap Off > tap On. On MyFord Touch, turn Bluetooth Off, then On. Touch Phone > Settings > Bluetooth > Off > On. If these first two steps do not work, proceed to steps 3 and 4. Manually connect MyFord Touch with your phone. 3. Software glitch. In some cases, a glitch in the infotainment system or onboard computer system can cause the steering wheel buttons to stop working in Mondeo. In such cases, resetting the onboard computers can sometimes help resolve the issue. One way to do this is by disconnecting the car battery for about 15 minutes. I have just replaced the battery in my x reg 1.8 ford mondeo duratec, once reconnected the radio wanted the radio code which i found on a sticker in the book along with the radio code etc, when entered it is not accepting the code, I cannot get the unit out either to get the number from the side of it for dealer to do it! hjbz.
