Location of the saves is here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Half-Life 2\ep2\save. Just cut and paste the last save file (sort by date/time) - the one that got corrupted and paste it somewhere for back up (just in case) and start the game. The last save before it got corrupted and continue from there.

This one is a Mod, you simply have to have a Half Life 2 game installed through Steam to play it (You might need Episode 2 for this one instead of Half Life 2). It's totally worth it. This Mod is really good. and if you dont have HL2, and the Episodes - Buy the Valve Collection, or at least the Half Life Collection :) !

so i was able to play half life 2 and ep 1 without any problems at max graphics but ep 2 whenever i play 5 mins into the game from any point my video feed to my monitor just shuts off and half life ep 2 makes a repeating noise from whatever happened just before it shut off, does ep 2 have problems with windows 10? and this doesnt happen with any other game
