Ihave an A4 B8 2009 & I am struggling to get usb drives to work with my MMI. I have the socket in glove box & have usb cable to plug in to it. I have formatted usb to Fat32 & all songs are in Mp3 format. I have been told on another forum that I have to create a playlist but even that doesn't seem to work. Any other ideas I can try. However if you have discovered that the MMI is no longer functioning, then you may have to replace these parts. 6. Replace your main MMI module. S4(B8 Platform) Discussion - USB Drives with AMI - I bought a AMI-USB interface cable for $14 on Amazon. Not bad considering ECS wants $75. I plugged in a 32gig USB2 thumb drive and the music plays and sounds great. Plugged in a 500gig USB3 drive with 80gig of music on it and the MMI says it does not recognize the tmC0mPU.
